What is the Epstein Index?
In January 2025, the Department of Justice released 3.5 million pages of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. The Epstein Index is a graph database cross-referencing persons and organizations mentioned in these documents against government funding databases to identify potential financial connections.
The network includes ... entities extracted from DOJ documents, with ... second-degree connections and ... third-degree connections.
Quick Search: Known Entities
Methodology
1. Entity Extraction: Names extracted from DOJ documents using multiple open-source projects including svetimfm visualizations, epstein-docs.github.io, and Epstein-doc-explorer.
2. Graph Construction: Entities stored in Neo4j with CONNECTED_TO relationships based on co-occurrence in documents.
3. Cross-Reference: Each entity searched against PPP loans, FEC contributions, and federal grants using fuzzy matching.
4. Layer Classification: Layer 1 = direct Epstein associates, Layer 2 = one degree removed, Layer 3 = two degrees removed.
